Claire Bodkin
Claire is incredibly excited about returning for her second summer as Assistant Director of YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth, where she manages outdoor education and summer programs. Claire first came to CQE as a leadership participant and non-canoeist in the Delaware program and immediately felt like she was a part of the CQE family. Claire has spent various spring, summer, and fall seasons over the past six and a half years in leadership positions at CQE, London YMCA Day Camps, and the Rocky Mountain YMCA. She completed the requirements for her B.A. in Geography at the University of Guelph and then lived in the Alberta Rockies and Halifax before returning to Ontario in the spring of 2007 to join the management team at CQE. Claire brings her passion for working with children, leadership development, and experiential education to her role as Assistant Director. When not at camp, Claire can be found trying to snowboard, reading, or taking road trips to previously unknown places. She is proud to note that she is a much better canoeist now than she was on the first day of her Delaware trip. |
