(Session C: August 3 – August 15)

Pukaskwa is Ontario’s only wilderness National Park, and offers paddlers the chance to experience the untamed beauty of northern shield country.  The route will take the group along the shore of Lake Superior, from Hattie Cove to Michipicoten Harbour, near the town of Wawa.  This trip is geared to campers who have previous camping and canoeing experience.

Where is Pukaskwa National Park?

The park is located along the shore of Lake Superior, about halfway along Highway 17 between Sault Ste Marie and Thunder Bay.  The trip starts just south of the Town of Marathon, and runs south along the shore to Wawa.
